We Still have too Many Minions in Congress
Primary elections are here. Sadly, we still have too many minions in congress. Some Republicans that still had back bones and morals got defeated. An example would be Massey in Kentucky. Yeap, a pedo-protector beat him. Where I live, the democrats continued the tradition of losing. They still have not figured out the majority of Georgia voters dislike women, people of color and those with Spanish sounding last names.
Carpetbaggers
After the civil war here in the south, folks who came to Georgia to exploit the locals, we called them Carpetbaggers. They were hated by everyone.
The congressional district where I live, we have a gun selling, tax cheat running again. He is not even from Georgia. He sold the weapon used in the school shooting at Apalachee High School near Winder, Georgia, United States. The convicted shooter, 14-year-old Colt Gray, shot eleven people. His father who has mental issues, purchased the weapon from the store in Athens, Georgia. I prefer to protect children and not war toys.
I support Caitlyn Gegen who is running against this pedo-protector, tax cheat and minion. She has a great resume: Caitlyn Gegen earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, a graduate degree from the London School of Economics, and a graduate degree from the University of Georgia.
Quick summary
We have a choice here in the 9th congressional district in Georgia. A smart woman who is a democrat or a GOP minion who is a tax cheat, pedo-protector, sell weapons that a convicted school shooter used to murder four people and seriously injury 11 others. I am very much against authoritarian rulers.
Our Losses still and no Gains
Lastly, so far there have been no concessions from the horrible admin. We are seeing a small few in the Republican party change. Our leaders in the democratic party did not plan for repression. The protests have not gained leverage, thus we are left to vote wisely. No billionaire businesses are effected that support Trump and MAGA. The main news channels suffer repression. YouTube has changed its algorithm to block logical podcasters that some consider left wing liberal news people.
The main factor is the economy. Coffee has jumped from $6.99 per one pound (16 ounces) bag to a 12 oz bag (shrink flation) and jump to $12.99. We see this in many other products in the grocery stores. “What used to be a $2 coffee at your local coffee shop, it’s now $5, $6,” Some website say 18% this year. However, those of us who follow prices know it is about 100% or over 100%.
