His History
Graham ran to succeed US Senator Strom Thurmond in the 2002 election for the Senate. Winning the Republican primary unopposed, he went on to defeat Democratic nominee Alex Sanders in the general election. He has been reelected three more times in 2008, 2014, and 2020. Graham has formed a reputation in the Senate as a war hawk. He supports the defense industries like Lockheed et al.
First – He is a Party animal!
Let’s first discuss his wealth. He has been in the senate since 1997. He has an average salary of $174,000 per year. This would mean he has earned about $4.6 million. However, he does not have that much in investments. He takes care of his sister and her family. He does make the rounds to the Washington party scene. Probability of Lindsey winning reelection low.
He is well supported by the defense industry. Boeing being one of note. He has a fair amount of money already. We predict he will have a 25% chance of being elected. The democrats need to put the pedal to the metal and have a great cogent strategy to take he down as he has low favorability polls currently. Remember polls are often off!
