Remembering the day of 9/11/2001
I was in a class in Atlanta on Peachtree road area around Lenox Square mall. During a break, I was grabbing a drink. One of the managers came out and said a plane hit the World trade center in New York City. She then rolled out the TV and turned it on. Live on the TV we saw the second plane hitting the south tower. This is how I remember the day of 9/11/2001.
Later that day the class was canceled. Several of us stayed in the to find our coworkers who were in the New York area and be sure they were safe. I took the class instructor out to eat lunch at the mall. However, the mall closed down due to the fear of more attacks.
I went home and watched the news. None of it was good!
The next day, 9/12/2001 there were no planes in the air. They use to pass over where I lived on the way to the Atlanta airport. I wondered who did the attacks? I did not have a news source then. So I went back to class and work.
