First – She is a millionaire supporting Billionaires!
Let’s first discuss her wealth. She has been in the senate since 1997. She has an average salary of $174,000 per year. This would mean she has earned about $4.6 million. But she has a net worth of over $40 million. So how did she get so rich? She has $16 million in real estate, and the rest of her wealth is invested in mutual funds. However, her husband lobbying related business earns over $500,000 per year. While she inherited $5 Million, she now earns over $11 million a year.
Second – She is in bad health
Senator Susan Collins Shakes, Which Has Led Some to Focus on Her Health. Her unique speech pattern and shakiness has led some to wonder whether she has a health problem or if it’s due to her age. She is 72 (born December 7, 1952). She will be 73 in 2026. There has long been speculation that Collins has spasmodic dysphonia, although she has never discussed having any sort of conditions publicly. Her votes have really hacked people off. While saying she was pro-choice, she voted to confirm the judges that over turned Roe Vs Wade. Next, she has voted currently 67% with Trump in his first term and confirmed his minions in the cabinet and appointments now. NOT GOOD Susan! Now she is voting at 94% for his bills vs other presidents during her terms!
After much hemming and hawing, Maine Sen. Susan Collins announced during the first impeachment that she would vote to acquit President Donald Trump on both impeachment articles brought against him by the Democratic-controlled House in 2019. NOT GOOD Susan!
Running 2026
She is going to run in 2026, again. Polling shows that Collins could be vulnerable in her Democratic-leaning state. But the field is hardly settled, with plenty of bigger names considering next year’s race to replace the term-limited Mills. She has only refused to rule out a Senate run but remains the most closely watched figure attached to the race on the Democratic side.
Spokespeople for Governor Mills, who gained attention after President Donald Trump sparred with her in February and began targeting Maine over the state’s transgender athlete policies, Mills did not share updates on her future plans. But others with very good political resumes are popping up in Democratic circles in Maine.
The other potential candidates include “Penobscot Nation” Chief Kirk Francis of Bangor, Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau, D-Biddeford, Me, former State Senator Cathy Breen, D-Falmouth, and Jordan Wood of Bristol. Jordon worked for a decade in national Democratic politics, including a stint as chief of staff to former U.S. Rep. Katie Porter of California a fan favorite.

Probability of Susan winning reelection
She is well supported by the defense industry. Has a good amount of money already. We predict she will have a 50% chance of being elected. The democrats need to put the pedal to the metal and have a great cogent strategy to take her down as she has low favorability polls currently. Remember polls are often off!
